AN ISSUE MADE EVIDENT THROUGH TWO YEARS OF DISCOVERY, TRIAL, AND THE STORIES OF FORMER FAMILIES AND TEACHERS AT RENTON PREP

How is it that David-Paul Zimmerman (“DPZ”), a questionable Administrator at Renton Prep, seemingly ends his term as Executive Director abruptly and in the midst of controversy, and silently disappears off of the Renton Prep website?

And how is it that DPZ’s daughter, Michelle Zimmerman, who is also part of the ongoing systematic complaints regarding the School’s administration, and who lacks in the department of management/leadership experience, is seemingly gifted the helm of the school by executive order via DPZ?  It resembles that of a textbook example of nepotism.

All this is curious, as there doesn’t appear to have been any transparency, open posting, or outside recruitment for this role. Let alone any external announcement, for that matter. In any other non-profit organization, be it religious or not, a change this significant would be expected to have Board oversight and stakeholder input. Interestingly, there is no transparency around even who the Board members are, let alone what their governing responsibilities are.

The repercussions that our family experiencedstemmed from the Zimmermans' abuse of power, which we believe was enabled by these conditions.
