BULLYING
The dis-enrollment of the Fernandez children was never considered an issue of bullying until after Dawn's initial email to DPZ on May 28, 2016, three days after Michelle made a false statement to the 6th grade homeroom about Rod. That evening, following his unsolicited re-enrollment of the Fernandez children, DPZ used the term "bullying" to falsely describe Rod's words, as well as actions, in an email sent to Dawn. [Note: In his email, DPZ revised the narrative of his conversation with Dawn (while minor, it still changes the context to work in the Zimmermans' favor), in order to corroborate his daughter's false statement, by adding and leaving out words in his partial transcription from the May 20, 2016 audio-video.]
On February 11, 2018, the day before the conclusion of trial, DPZ falsely claimed in a post he published on LinkedIn, that his daughter was,
"being sued for preventing the bullying of an innocent 6th grade girl whose parents are from India,"
Shortly after King County Superior Court Judge Regina Cahan's final ruling, DPZ commented onto his own post, adding that he would,
"do it again to protect the heart and reputation of an innocent child from being bullied by jealous students and parents."
In his statement, DPZ not only falsely accuses Rod and Dawn for bullying a sixth grade student, but blatantly lies by stating that, "jealous students" partook in the bullying of the sixth grade student as well.
First and foremost, the Fernandez family did NOT bully the sixth grade student, or anyone for that matter.
At the May 24, 2016 meeting between the Fernandez family, Akamine-Rogers family, the Zimmermans, and Renton Prep teacher, Lauri Nichols, Rod even clarified that his concerns had nothing to do with the 6th grade student, for they were strictly revolved around the mistreatment of his daughter, Randi, by Gloria.
Moreover, the Fernandez children were never jealous of the 6th grade student for being selected by Microsoft for filming. In fact, it was Michelle who came to this conclusion on her own, which she referenced during the May 24, 2016 meeting,
According to Renton Prep's Anti-Bullying Policy,
once any allegation of bullying or retaliation is received by the School, the Executive Director will follow a procedure that is outlined in 6 steps. The third point clearly states that it is the responsibility of the Executive Director to notify the parents or guardians of the perpetrator's actions.
However, neither the Fernandez family or their extended family were informed about the alleged bullying of the sixth grade student prior to or upon the children's dis-enrollment.
Isn't it strange how the Zimmermans emphasize the alleged "bullying" perpetrated by Rod and the "jealous students and parents," as if it was the sole determinant in the filing of the Fernandez family's lawsuit, especially given that the term was never used prior to the Fernandez children's dis-enrollment?
It appears that the Zimmermans are only now utilizing "bullying" as an excuse to justify their wrongful actions and invalidate the truths of the Fernandez family, thus assuring current families at the Schools that there is no reason to question the system in place.
